Ripley’s Entertainment Company among attractions industry leaders sponsoring scholarships

Ripley’s Entertainment Company are among the companies and individuals giving back to the global attractions industry to ensure the future development and growth of young professionals by sponsoring scholarships for students through the IAAPA Foundation.

To date, seven companies and individuals have committed support for the IAAPA Foundation global ‘Sponsor a Scholarship’ program. Supporters include Ripley’s Entertainment Company, Whiting’s Foods, Premier Rides, Tom Mehrmann/Themed Advisors, Liseberg Park, Bob Rippy/Jungle Rapids, and WhiteWater Industries.

During the recent IAAPA Expo Europe, Jim Seay, Chairman of the IAAPA Foundation, updated the IAAPA Board on the sponsorships growing support and advised “this new program provides a simple way for individuals and industry companies to support and connect with students who are seeking pathways into our industry but need a helping hand.

“I am grateful to those who have already stepped forward to help with this worthwhile effort. We hope to announce many more scholarship supporters during the IAAPA Expo in Orlando.”

The IAAPA Foundation provides both academic and experiential scholarships to students who need financial assistance and are focused on a career in the attractions industry. The Foundation awards approximately $50,000 in scholarships annually.

Companies and individuals may learn more about sponsoring a scholarship by visiting the IAAPA Foundation’s website at www.iaapafoundation.org.
