Revised Go Karting Standard released for public comment
Go Kart operators should note that revisions to the Australian Standard for Go Karts, AS3533.4.4, have been released in draft form for public comment.
Standards Australia have outlined a nine week public comment period and have also invited the Australian Amusement, Leisure and Recreation Association (AALARA) to organise a Go Kart Subcommittee meeting for Monday 13th April to discuss the steps necessary for the groups submission.
Originally released in 2012, the Standard has been reviewed in the light of operational experience.
AALARA, whose Go Kart Subcommittee made extensive inputs to the revisions of the Standard, is asking members to review the document and submit their comments or contributions in writing to the Association at email: info@aalara.com.au.
These comments and contributions will be collated and added to the agenda for the subcommittee meeting.
Others can make their comments directly to Standards Australia.
