Respected industry veteran joins Leisure Concepts team

Leading fitness equipment distributor Leisure Concepts has announced that industry veteran, Xenophon Angelides has joined its team as its new as the National Key Accounts Manager.

With a background in the fitness industry spanning more than 30 years, Xen brings with him a wealth of experience that includes club operations, personal training, programming, membership, equipment sales and fitness consulting.

With world class brands that include Atlantis Strength, Merrithew and Intenza Fitness, Leisure Concepts has an impressive portfolio of products that provide facility owners with a unique and highly customisable solution.

In his new role, Angelides will continue to strengthen the relationship that Leisure Concepts has with key accounts.

Welcoming Angelides, Leisure Concepts Managing Director, Troy McBean explained “Xen is a welcome addition to our team.

Angelides’ journey into fitness began in 1981 when he took up body-building and martial arts which  paved the way for him to pursue a career in fitness, completing a degree in Sports Science.

Starting his career managing fitness centres, he has consulted to global fitness equipment corporations, while also developing sales, marketing, communication and retention strategies that have helped plan and launch over three hundred health clubs throughout the Asia Pacific region. His passion for competition and achievement in sport has also earned him an impressive track record in Australian national basketball and bodybuilding.

Angelides is recognised as the founder and pioneer of personal training in Malaysia in the 1990s, renowned for training high profile politicians, members of the royal family, businessmen and women.

He has also honed his skills as an international speaker, educator and wellness expert, speaking at conventions such as FILEX and IHRSA.

Expressing his excitement on joining the Leisure Concepts team, Angelides stated “I am truly excited about joining the Leisure Concepts team this week. Leisure Concepts shares my values of passion, innovation and excellent after sales support and service.

Angelides will be at the Leisure Concepts Australia stand (#1030) at the Fitness Show in Sydney between 11th and 14th April where he will be available to discuss client product requirements.
