Researching community perceptions of swimming and water safety programs for children
AUSTSWIM and the Royal Life Saving Society Australia (RLSAA) have commenced a survey to assess community perceptions of swimming and water safety programs for children aged five to 14.
As part of the survey, parents have the opportunity to comment on factors affecting their choice of swim school and teacher such as the reputation of their chosen swim school, the effectiveness and accreditation of the teachers, and what understanding and expectations they had of the skills being taught to their children.
Each parent's comments will contribute to research being conducted on drowning prevention in Australia. The outcomes of which are set to enhance the swimming and water safety skills of all Australian children.
All information will be treated in the strictest confidence and no identification of individual respondents will be made available.
