Repucom appoints Shane Mattiske to Managing Director role in Australia

Global sport and entertainment information analysts Repucom has appointed Shane Mattiske in a joint Managing Director’s role to drive Repucom’s consulting division in Australia and New Zealand.

Mattiske will join Guy Port in the co-management position with a focus on driving Repucom’s client engagements across media rights, commercial rights, government, tourism and stadia strategy.

As one of Australia’s most respected sports administrators, Mattiske had spent 15 years at the NRL, including a period as interim Chief Executive in which he led the league’s current record breaking broadcast rights agreement.

Commenting on the appointment, Repucom founder and Chief Executive Paul Smith stated "the Australian business has experienced strong growth in recent years, driven by our consulting and strategy services. With the addition of Shane, we are investing to both ensure that growth continues and alongside Guy Port, we have also established a formidable team which will importantly continue to deliver great value to our clients in this market.

Welcoming his new role, Mattiske added “Repucom holds a unique position in the Australian market as the leading advisor in media analysis, working within all the major sports around the world.

“I am excited to join the team and am looking forward to driving the growth of the Australian consulting and strategy business, bringing together the understanding and learnings the organisation has across international sports to the benefit of our Australian and Asian clients.”

Port concluded “having worked together with Shane for many years at the NRL, I’m both proud to welcome someone of his experience to our team and look forward to sharing Shane’s expertise and thinking with our clients”.

Mattiske is based in Repucom‘s Sydney office.
