Registrations Open for WAFIC

Delegates can now register for WAFIC (the Wellness and Fitness Industry Conference), Western Australiaâs leading conference for the fitness industry.

Managed by the YMCA and supported by Fitness Australia, WAFIC 2010 is being held at the Perth Convention Exhibition Centre from the 12th to 14th February 2010.

WAFIC offers delegates a unique opportunity to further theit skills and knowledge over one weekend, packed with fun and exciting sessions that will help delegates' members and clients to a fitter and healthier lifestyle.

As Robert Barnes, General Manager of Operations for Fitness Australia, the National Health and Fitness Industry Association, states "we are active supporters of YMCA Perthâs Wellness and Fitness Industry Conference, Fitness Australia applauds initiatives to create space to join together for learning, development and growth in the fitness industry.

"The initiative has created a cost effective way for the majority of the fitness industry in WA to access learning and networking opportunities and as a result the industry continues to grow. There is evidence the success of WAFIC has contributed to increasing interest by other training providers to bring learning opportunities to WA. YMCA Perth, led by Wayne Stuart, is making a significant contribution to Fitness Australiaâs work in WA and we proudly support their initiative in WAFIC."

With 70 sessions to choose from business, personal training to group exercise and nutrition the event offers something for everyone. Over the weekend delegates will be able to mix it with some of the leading Australian and international experts from key establishments throughout the industry, while having the opportunity to network with you colleagues. For the first time, WAFIC includes an Aqua Instructor Summit, held at the Craigie Leisure Centre, plus an array of additional workshops.

As part of WAFIC, the one-day Wentworth Advantage Fitness Business Summit is specifically aimed at business owners, managers and personal trainers with tools and information to help increase the profitability of their businesses.
