Registrations Open for VMA 2011 Congress

The Venue Management Association has launched the Website and program its 2011 Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress.

The program features three fantastic days of networking and knowledge sharing at the Cypress Lakes Resort in the Hunter Valley Wine Region of NSW.

As VMA Council President Steve Romer explains "our Annual Congress is one of the major benefits of belonging to the VMA, along with venue industry networking opportunities.

"As such, the Congress Organising Committee has worked diligently in coordinating an exciting and educational meeting with motivational presentations, diverse technical sessions, and a terrific social program.

"The theme of our 2011 Congress - Strength through Unity - will allow us to collectively debate the way forward with ideas that will undoubtedly shape and influence our industry well into the future."

Speakers at the Congress include:

Aaron Curran - a marketing consultant who has held senior management roles with Sydney Opera House, the Arts Centre in Melbourne and others;
Andy Frances - State General Manager (Vic/Tas/SA) for Securecorp, one of the largest privately owned security companies in Australia;
Bob Turner - NBL Coach;
Brian Morris - involved in the entertainment, hospitality and venue management sectors for more than 25 years, Brian is Chief Executive of Melbourne and Olympic Parks;
Cliff Wallace - Managing Director of Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Ltd. since 1995;
Craig Lovett - one of the most experienced people today in the area of cleaning and waste strategies for venues and events around the world;
Daryl Kerry - Chief Executive, ANZ Stadium/Stadium Australia;
Evelyn Richardson - Chief Executive, Live Performance Australia (LPA), the peak body for Australia's live entertainment and performing arts industry;
Gwendoline Keel - Senior Associate in leading New Zealand law firm Simpson Grierson's Commercial Department.

Registration can be made online online with earlybird registrations available until 15th March.

VMA General Manager John Glenn is urging delegates to delegates to take advantage of these cheaper rates by registering now.

The Congress is being held from 15th to 18th May.
