Registrations Open for the ASGA Conference
The 2010 Annual Sporting Goods and Sports Industry Conference 'New Directions in Sport' is to be held at Melbourne's AAMI Park on Tuesday 26th October 2010.
The conference is a rare opportunity for the industry and the membership of the Australian Sporting Goods Association (ASGA) to come together. As sport policy and funding in Australia move into a new phase, and preventative health and sports participation gain a focus and prominence on the national agenda, the conference will consider the impact of these changes on the sporting goods and sports industries.
As ASGA General Manager Brad Kitschke explains âas our industry faces the challenges of a changing market and a recovering economy it remains vital that opportunities to network, share ideas and work toward facing the challenges of the future are supported by the industry.?
The conference will be opened by Victorian Minister for Sport, Recreation and Youth James Merlino while the eventâs Master of Ceremonies will be respected sporting commentator Tim Lane.
Keynote address will come from International Olympic Committee member Kevan Gosper and David Jenkin, author of the best-selling âWhat Great Retailers Do â 50 Keys to Make Your Shop a Winnerâ.
Other presentations will include:
⢠Removing the touch points for online sales and driving reduction in the overheads of online selling without reducing service quality â Australia Post
