Registration of Interest: Development of eco-accommodation on the Wangetti Trail, North Queensland
The Queensland Government is inviting ecotourism operators to register their interest to develop eco-accommodation on the Wangetti Trail.
The 94-kilometre trail along the Great Barrier Reef coast from Palm Cove to Port Douglas is planned as a 'must-do' tourism experience in Far North Queensland.
The Queensland Government is now looking for proponents interested in operating the trail’s eco-accommodation and conducting guided tours with the traditional owners.
Construction is already underway on the first section of the Wangetti Trail from Port Douglas to Mowbray North, with the trail expected to be completed by 2022.

Registrations close at 2pm on Thursday 25th July 2019.
