Regional NSW high school students gain free access to gym and pool facilities

An innovative trial in regional NSW is giving students at the Quirindi High School free access to both Quirindi and Werris Creek pools and the Quirindi Recreation Centre.

Students will just need to produce their student cards to enter the facilities to the three community facilities.

Quirindi High School Principal Ian Worley explains “the initiative is a partnership that focuses on the health and wellbeing of our student body at QHS as well as increasing our push to support local business and facilities.”

The trial has been arranged to run to the end of 2018, with plans to increase the duration if the trial goes well.

If enrolled students are already a member of the gym, they won’t need to renew and those that have already paid for pool access won’t need to renew for the next pool season that commences around October/November next year.

The town of Quirindi sits in the Liverpool Plains Shire in the NSW North West Slopes.
