Refreshed BIG4 Mackay Marine Tourist Park introduces new park facilities

In time for the busy school holiday period, the BIG4 Mackay Marine Tourist Park has unveiled a bevy of impressive new park facilities.

The featured additions include a new state-of-the-art aquatic splash park, a new pool with waterslide, a children’s adventure playground and a mini golf course, to pair with the already impressive giant jumping pillow and children’s games room.

The park is also looking forward to opening a children’s tyre maze in early April.

The refurbishments were backed by a Federal Government grant as part of the Tourism Industry Regional Development Fund.

BIG4 Mackay Marine Tourist Park co-owner, Scott Rebgetz, says he is proud to make such a significant enhancement to the holiday experience for guests.

Rebgetz explains “the grant helped us to fulfil our goal to build a quality outdoor recreation area, water play precinct and pool refurbishment whilst further renovating our accommodation range and caravan facilities.

“We are really looking forward to welcoming new guests to enjoy.”

BIG4 Chief Executive Holiday Parks, Steven Wright, says the group appreciates the funding support and believes these new park upgrades will contribute towards long term success of tourism in the Mackay area.

Wright adds “these fantastic facilities will only encourage more guests to select Mackay as a chosen holiday destination.”

Located just two kilometres from the beautiful Mackay Marina precinct, the area offers wonderful wildlife, beautiful beaches and breathtaking scenery. The park boasts a wide variety of accommodation styles, from villas and cabins to powered and unpowered camping sites.
