Ready Steady Go Kids launched in Albury and Wodonga
Mother and passionate sportswoman, Karina Hickman, is the latest franchisee to join the Ready Steady Go Kids network, having started her new venture with classes in Albury in April.
Hickman is extremely pleased with how local families have responded to the program, stating "we already have a large number of students enrolled in Albury, which is fantastic.
"We're looking forward to receiving a great response from families when we open in Wodonga in July, too.
"Previously there wasn't a whole lot for really young children to do (in the region) so Ready Steady Go Kids is proving to be a real hit."
Ready Steady Go Kids is a physio-designed, multisport program specifically designed for children aged two-and-a-half to six years. Run at over 120 locations nationally, the program covers the fundamentals of 10 different sports while developing age appropriate gross and fine motor skills. Children also learn about the concept of sportsmanship by taking turns, playing by the rules and cooperating with their team mates.
Hickman adds "the quality and depth of the program really sets Ready Steady Go Kids apart.
"We encourage kids to try their best while also challenging them to do a little better than they think they can. And the 1:6 instructor to student ratio allows us to spend time with each child and recognise where individuals might need some extra help."
Ready Steady Go Kids Director Stuart Derbyshire is pleased to welcome Karina Hickman aboard his ever-growing team, stating "Karina's passion for the program and the kids is inspiring.
"She's a true supporter of our aim to teach children to become more healthy and active not just now, but for life."
Ready Steady Go Kids Albury classes are held at the Albury PCYC on Tuesday and Saturday mornings. Wodonga classes will commence in Term 3 on Wednesday afternoons and Saturday mornings at the new stadium at St Monica's Primary School.
