Queensland Government releases latest images of new Townsville Stadium
The Queensland Department of State Development, Manufacturing, Infrastructure and Planning has released a series of new images of how the new North Queensland will look when completed.
The artist’s impressions of the new $250 million venue show how the new stadium will dominate the south side of Ross Creek and the area adjacent to the Townsville CBD.
Due for completion prior to the 2020 NRL season, the 25,000 seat best-practice regional stadium will include state-of-the-art corporate facilities, permanent stands, permanent concessions and modern amenities.
The North Queensland Stadium is a joint project of the Queensland Government (who contributed $140 million), the Australian Government ($100 million), and Townsville City Council is supported by both the National Rugby League and the North Queensland Cowboys ($10 million).
Australasian Leisure Management also understands that the contract to provide the seats for the venue has been won by Melbourne-based Camatic Seating.
