Queensland Firebirds reveal Aurizon as new Principal Partner

On the eve of the 2021 Suncorp Super Netball season, the Queensland Firebirds have announced Aurizon, Australia’s largest rail freight operator, as its new Principal Partner.

Welcoming Aurizon’s three-year sponsorship of the triple premiership winning team, Queensland Firebirds Chief Executive, Catherine Clark stated “to welcome a brand as committed, reliable and synonymous with Queensland as Aurizon into our Purple family is an incredibly proud moment for the Queensland Firebirds.

“A synergy of values is critical to our partnerships. Aurizon’s integrity, pursuit of excellence and enduring people first culture truly resonates with what we have built, and continue to build, here at the Firebirds.”

“For 25 years we have been Queensland’s Club, and we play for all of Queensland. Aurizon’s presence in regional Queensland via their broad footprint in centres across the State speaks volumes of the alignment between our two brands.”

“We share a passion for Queensland and a commitment to diversity and inclusion. Together through this alliance we are poised to achieve some great things over the next three years.”

Aurizon’s Managing Director and Chief Executive, Andrew Harding said Aurizon was delighted to partner with the Queensland Firebirds, a high-performance team competing in the world’s best netball league.

Harding commented “the Firebirds have shown what can be achieved through teamwork, excellence and commitment, and are inspiring young women to participate in netball and aim for the stars.”
