QORF event to explore future of youth camping and outdoor recreation
The Queensland Outdoor Recreation Federation (QORF) is partnering with Nature Play Queensland and the Australian Camps Association to present ‘Kids Outdoors 2030’, a three day event to look at what the future of children’s recreation and camping may look like 15 years from now.
Mindful of decreasing levels of activity in children and young people spending more time indoors, the event is aiming to identify how outdoor activities can make a lasting impression on children.
Aimed at recreation facilities, daycare centres, out of hours school care providers, teachers, camps, outdoor leaders and all parties interested in getting children active in the outdoors.
Kids Outdoors 2030 is being held at the Queensland Recreation Centre Gold Coast from 26th to 28th June.
