Qingdao to hold 2016 ISAF Extreme Sailing Series
The second stage of the 2016 World Sailing (ISAF) Extreme Sailing Series will be held in east China's coastal city Qingdao at the end of April.
The series will attract eight teams to compete in Muscat of Oman; Qingdao; Cardiff, UK; Hamburg in Germany; Saint Petersburg, Russia; Istanbul, Turkey; Lisbon, Portugal and Sydney, Australia between March to December this year
To celebrate its 10th anniversary this year, the sailing series will introduce GC 32 catamaran for the first time to bring fresh experiences for top sailors.
Beside long-distance matches, the event will also feature nearshore short-distance turn-back races this year for more exciting scenes for audience.
The ISAF Extreme Sailing Series, launched in 2007, is one of World Sailing's top four events.
World Sailing (ISAF) was formerly known as the International Sailing Federation.
