Qatar to host inaugural International Stadium Construction Expo in June
Qatar is to host the first ever inaugural International Stadium Construction Expo (QISC), a new event that aims to act as a meeting point for companies and organisations looking to bid for projects in the Arabian Gulf – including projects relating to the FIFA 2022 World Cup and the Qatar Government’s wider Vision 2030 program of investment.
Organised by Pavilion Exhibitions & Conferences (PEC), QISC will take place from 7th to 10th June 2015.
Introducing the event PEC Chair Issa Mohamed Mubarak Al Darwish stated “the idea behind the exhibition stemmed from a desire to contribute to the accomplishment of Qatar National Vision 2030 in all fields, including sport, as Qatar becomes a key Middle Eastern destination for major events leading to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
“We are currently processing bookings from 18 different countries and the number of international firms participating might reach 100.”
al-Darwish added that companies attending will cover a number of sectors – including construction, sustainability and stadium technology.
