Port Stephens attraction opens new aquatic playground
Oakvale Farm and Fauna World in the NSW resort of Port Stephens has opened ‘Splash Bay’, a new aquatic play space featuring 25 water activities.
The biggest single addition in the popular family attraction’s 37-year history, the year round aquatic play area, which is free for all park visitors to use, offers interactive water features inspired by the wildlife’s park’s fauna including: the crocodile bucket dunker; the python spray tunnel and the koala water cannon.
Owners Kent and Leanne Sansom explain “our visitors should now pack their swimmers and towels with them, with little kids and big kids all invited to cool down in the water park.”
The attraction’s additions also include eight new electric barbecues and undercover seating for up to 250 people – ideal for lunches, birthday parties and work functions.
Oakvale Farm and Fauna World is home to 250 species of animals including pythons, crocodiles, and alligators along with friendly fauna which wander freely around the park eager to meet visitors.
