Playscape Creations welcomes new team members and spotlights latest project

Leaders in recreational and play innovation, Playscape Creations, has welcomed two design professionals who have recently joined their team.

Aaron Nicholls as National Specification Manager and David Walker who has established Playscape Creations North QLD office bring a wealth of experience in the design and specification industries.

Nicholls draws on his extensive global experience in the Architecture & Design industry to share his passion for the psychology around planning environments.

Taking on the National Specification Manager role, he will be employing a consultative methodology in his work with designers and specifiers to design solutions to solve complex and unique problems; focusing on the "why" before the "how".

As a consultative design professional, Walker uses his 30+ years’ global experience to help clients create a space that delivers the desired community outcomes while becoming a testament to the asset owner and the investment made.

Grounded in knowledge and with thousands of projects under his belt, Walker takes great pride in helping clients think outside the box in terms of what's achievable within tight parameters - from materiality to timeframe needs.  Heading our North Queensland operations, Walker is local, servicing communities across Mackay, Cairns, Townsville and beyond, with a strong connection to the industry and the area.

Playscape Creations has also spotlighted one of their latest projects: Borrol Lookout Park, Yarrabilba

Yarrabilba is a new generation master planned community located in the City of Logan, Queensland.  Borrol Lookout Park is in the green heart of Yarrabilba, surrounded by nature, and dedicated to connecting its residents to parks, open spaces and the natural environment.

Located on the highest point in Yarrabilba, Borrol Lookout Park sits on a rocky outcrop referred to as South Rock, and has an expansive view of the mountains to the south which are central to the story telling evident throughout the parklands.

Designed by RPS Group Principal Landscape Architect Emma Fraser, the new playspace has been planned to support community connection, encourage children to learn about the park’s cultural significance, and embrace the natural surroundings.
