Perth attraction to open new children's aquatic playground on 21st December

Western Australia's The Maze Family Fun Park has revealed that the first stage of its planned waterpark expansion - a three-storey-high children's aquatic playground with two tube slides, two flume slides, toddlers' slides, a 1,000-litre tipping bucket and a range of water cannons and interactive play features will open in time for the peak summer season on 21st December.

The $1.5 million development, dubbed "Australia's biggest waterslide playground", is an Arihant '12a' aquatic play structure, with a Mexican theme, provided by Arihant distributor Amusement Leisure Consultants.

The Mazes plans to develop the $70 million Outback Splash, see the waterpark being built in six stages over a 10 year period. Subsequent stages will nine waterslides, a lazy river and food and beverage outlets while existing facilities at The Maze will also be expanded to include nine different mazes and mini-golf.

The Maze also recently opened a 'Giant Jumping Pillow' - a cross between a trampoline and jumping castle.

Covering an area of over 180 metres2, the attraction is suitable for children of all ages, but also operates an 'under fives only' play hour for little jumpers every day. For sun safety, the Giant Jumping Pillow is completely covered by a shade sail to keep jumpers out of the sun.
