Ord Valley Events announces 20th Ord Valley Muster to go ahead in May 2021
Following the need to cancel Western Australia’s Ord Valley Muster this year due to COVID-19, Ord Valley Events has announced the 20th Ord Valley Muster will be held from 21st to 29th May 2021 in Kununurra, kicking off next year’s tourism season in Western Australia’s East Kimberley region.
The ‘Muster’ line up of events includes Indigenous culture and dance, dining experiences, wellness sessions, the popular local talent quest ‘Muster Idol’, a proper country rodeo, laugh-out-loud comedy and a special event to commemorate the 20th anniversary is currently in planning.
The bucket-list hallmark of the Muster is the Kimberley Moon Experience and the glamorous black-tie Kimberley Fine Diamonds Dinner, which will be held on Saturday 22nd May 2021.
The Kimberley Fine Diamonds Dinner includes champagne, canapes, multi-course dining and open bar under the big Kimberley starry sky and exclusive dance floor to party the night away to some of Australia’s biggest artists.
Alternatively, you can enjoy the same amazing show in the general admission area of the ‘Moon’ or grab a group of friends and party away in the styled and licenced 18+ Garden Bar.
The Moon has been headlined by the biggest names in Australian music including Jimmy Barnes, Paul Kelly, Daryl Braithwaite, Lee Kernaghan, Amy Shark, Pete Murray, The Cat Empire, Bernard Fanning, Guy Sebastian and Eskimo Joe. Next year’s line-up will be announced soon.
The Muster is a popular festival that consistently sells out every year. Visitors are urged to start planning their trip now and are encouraged to stay and explore nearby attractions including the Mirima National Park, El Questro, Lake Argyle or take a river cruise along the Ord River, the life force of the region or a scenic flight over the Bungle Bungle or Mitchell Plateau in order to really appreciate the vastness and beauty of the untouched ancient landscape. Travel packages that include flights, tours and tickets to shows will be released soon.
The host town, Kununurra, is the gateway to the magnificent East Kimberley, which rewards visitors with spectacular gorges, natural springs and watering holes, red earth, big blue skies and unrivalled natural beauty across the country that’s dotted with fat boab trees.
The Western Australia Government is a supporter of the event through Tourism WA's Regional Events Program.
The Ord Valley Muster will take place from Friday 21st May to Saturday 29th May 2021 in Kununurra, Western Australia.
