One Movement for Music Festival rocks Perth

Western Australian Tourism Minister Liz Constable has welcomed delegates and musicians attending the second annual One Movement for Music Perth festival.
Dr Constable said the festival was set to unveil many new artists and expose them to the international stage, while reinforcing Perthâs reputation as a major music hub and breeding ground for up and coming bands.
Dr Constable stated âthe One Movement for Music Festival is unlike any other held in Perth with more than 600 artists and musicians representing 15 countries attending.
âA core feature of the One Movement for Music Perth is the 100 acts that will play unique 30-minute showcase sets, premiering their latest material and presenting them to the industryâs key decision-makers, along with artists and fans.
âThe diverse festival which highlights the greatest new global talent set for the international stage will complement Perthâs vibrant arts and cultural scene, and add to the atmosphere of the city.
âArtists will also have access to some of the worldâs most influential music leaders and musicians as they gather for a three-day industry conference, MUSEXPO.?
This year, the conference has attracted more than 600 delegates and speakers from 12 countries.
The Minister said the event, now in its second year, was part of a longer-term strategic plan from the Western Australian Government to foster international events that are anchored and owned in the State.
Dr Constable addedâas the event develops and grows, one of its key aims is to raise awareness of and drive visitation to WA - both from a domestic and international point of view.
âBesides the obvious economic benefits being generated through visitation to the State, by the hundreds of delegates and speakers, the festival also provides a great event for West Australians and visitors alike.
âEventscorp supports a diverse range of events and strikes a balance between culture and sport, big and small, to both Perth and regional areas.?
