Oberon Council partners with YMCA NSW to deliver local aquatic and fitness services
YMCA NSW has announced that it has been awarded a 12-month contract to operate the Oberon Swimming Pool and new fitness centre, which is under construction and planned to open in the coming months.
Set to commence management of the Oberon Swimming Pool from 12th October 2019, management of the new facilities compliments The Y’s commitment to delivering services that improve the physical, mental and social wellbeing of communities.
Advising that the organisation is looking forward to working alongside Oberon Council to better the health and wellbeing of another regional community, YMCA NSW Chief Executive, Susannah Le Bron stated “the Y has a presence in a number of rural locations and we’re delighted to be expanding that regional footprint to include the Oberon Council area.
“The benefits of managing two recreational facilities within one precinct brings with it a number of advantages, including increased employment opportunities, a bigger impact on the health of the community and easy access to new and diverse programs offered by the Y in Oberon.”
