NZRL seals record sponsorship deal with Pirtek

The New Zealand Rugby League (NZRL) has sealed what is says is the biggest sponsorship deal in its history, with Pirtek agreeing terms on a wide-ranging partnership.
The worldwide supplier of hydraulic and industrial hose and associated fittings has long been a supporter of rugby league and sponsored New Zealand during its successful 2008 World Cup campaign. Pirtek has now returned to the NZRL fold by agreeing a three-year deal as principal sponsor.
NZRL Chief Executive Jim Doyle explained "we're really pleased to have Pirtek join our family of sponsors.
"They have a long history of supporting rugby league in Australasia and with their assistance we will be able to continue our game's development across the country. Pirtek have agreed to be involved with everything from grassroots through to the Kiwis including assistance with the provision of equipment for clubs, scholarships for players and a series of events to recognise our volunteers. In addition, we'll have the Pirtek National Premiership; they'll support our camps and will be on the front of the Kiwis jersey from this year's VB Test (against Australia)."
Pirtek NZ General Manager Chris Bourke, added "the game has achieved new heights in recent years and we are very proud to once again be associated with rugby league in New Zealand. We plan to contribute at all levels of the game and look forward to seeing our company name once more on the Kiwi jersey."
