NSW Police commence murder investigation after bodies found at North Paramatta Taekwondo studio

NSW Police are investigating the discovery of three bodies at locations in Western Sydney today, including the bodies of a child and a woman at a Taekwondo studio in North Paramatta.

Investigations commenced when officers were called to a private address in the suburb in Baulkham Hills at about 10.15am this morning following a concern for welfare report.

A male body was discovered at the scene.

The two other bodies, a woman believed to be in her early 40s and a young child, were located at the Lion’s Taekwondo Martial Arts Academy in Daking Street, North Parramatta at about 1pm.

NSW Police said the crime scenes established in Paramatta and Baulkham Hills are being treated as linked.

While local police commenced initial inquiries, the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad has now taken over the investigation with Sydney newspaper The Daily Telegraph reporting that NSW are believed to be speaking to a fourth person, who took himself to Westmead Hospital on Monday evening with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Police are reportedly working to ascertain the man’s relationship to the deceased trio after he allegedly told NSW Police he sustained injuries at Lion’s Taekwondo studio.

Further inquiries are underway to establish whether a separate stabbing in North Paramatta on Friday is linked to the discovery of the three bodies.

The crime scenes are currently being examined by forensic officers.
