Nominations open for the 2011 Venue Professional of the Year Awards

Members of the Venue Management Association are invited to nominate a fellow VMA Member for the 2011 Venue Professional of the Year Awards.

Nominees can be a colleague or someone in the venue industry who has inspired or made a significant contribution during the calendar year 2010. The Award is on offer to both Active and Allied Members.

Nominations close on Friday 29th April 2011 with the Awards to be presented at the Gala Dinner of this year's Asia-Pacific Venue Industry Congress

Selection criteria is based on the contribution of the nominee through their work at their respective venue to the following;

• To the Venue Management Association;
• To the community in which the nominee operates;
• In support and development, study, research and publishing of papers/article of relevance to the venue management industry; or
• Particular significant contributions and achievements made by the nominee.

In the case of Allied member nominees, all of the above criteria apply plus how the nominee has, through their work in the venue industry and relationships with specific venues, improved a venue's businesses and services.
