Nominations open for 2008 Australian Sport Awards

The Confederation of Australian Sport is seeking nominations for the 2008 Australian Sport Awards.
The awards highlight outstanding achievements through the 2008 calendar year from Australia's athletes, teams, coaches, volunteers, officials and other industry stakeholders.
Nominations for the Australian Sport Awards are conducted on online and close on Sunday 30th November 2008.
The awards are for:

Gold Awards

⢠Male Athlete of the Year


⢠Female Athlete of the Year


⢠International Team of the Year


⢠National Team of the Year


Silver Awards

⢠Young Australian Male Athlete of the Year


⢠Young Australian Female Athlete of the Year


⢠Young Australian Team of the Year


⢠Coach of the Year


⢠Executive of the Year


⢠Sport Media Award


⢠Official of the Year


⢠Information Technology


⢠Volunteer of the Year


⢠Community Athlete of the Year


⢠Sports Tourism Award


⢠Masters Athlete of the Year


⢠Masters Team of the Year


New awards for 2008 are (Gold Awards) Male Athlete of the Year with a Disability and Female Athlete of the Year with a Disability (formerly Sportsperson of the Year with a Disability) and (Silver Award) Sports Chiropractor of the Year.
