New Zealand’s Eventing the Future conference returns to Wellington
The organisers of New Zealand’s Eventing the Future conference have advised that its 2019 edition will be returning to Wellington and is inviting potential delegates to be more engaged in shaping their experience through the submission of speaker and topic recommendations as well as a planned ‘Lessons Learnt’ session.
Being held on 8th and 9th August, organiser have announce the first international keynote speaker, Martijn Timmermans who will be sharing experiences from his career in customer experience marketing at Disney, Marriott and Singapore Airlines. For many years, Timmermans served as preferred European Union event partner for media agency, Kenwood Experiences producing product releases, roadshows, conferences, seminars and trade show exhibitions.
In 2015 he developed a number of tools, such as Event StoryBoard, a strategic event design tool that synchronizes event design with event outcomes. Martijn will be taking us through the Event Storyboard 2.0 experience showcasing this the first time here in New Zealand.
The annual conference is open to all sectors of the event industry, including event deliverers, suppliers, funders, marketers and educators with organisers advising “timing of ETF2019 allows time to clear the desk early in the week and head to Wellington for Wednesday night and two days of exciting content and extend your stay into the weekend to take in shows, events or food/wine experiences.”
The organisers are also inviting delegates to suggest topic for the conference, adding “if you have an event where you faced challenges, introduced a new concept, partnered in a different way and want to share your experience and learnings then we want to hear from you.
“We are looking for presenters small and large events from across the sector.
“(If) you waant to hear a great speaker? Have a topic you want covered? Let us know as soon as possible ... and we will try and accommodate your requests.”
