New Zealand swim coaches and teachers awarded at Diamond Jubilee conference
Staging its Diamond Jubilee conference celebrating 60 years as an organisation in Wellington at the end of last week, NZ Swim Coaches and Teachers Association presented its annual awards.
Presented at the annual Awards dinner on Friday, swim schools, teachers and coaches were recognised for their hard work and dedication to swimming in New Zealand
The winners were:
Individual Awards
Outstanding contribution to learn to swim - Jenifer Heaton - Selwyn Aquatic Centre
Master teacher - Miranda Mckenzie - Kapiti Learn to Swim
Swim teacher of the year - Jacqui Mckenzie, Kapiti Learn to Swim & Anna Lysaght, Northern Arena
Rookie swim teacher of the year - Hannah O’Rielly, Easyswim
Coach of the year - Gary Hollywood
Brett Naylor trophy (top FINA points on International performance) - Gary Hollywood
Open water coach of the year - Mat Woofe
Para youth coach of the year- Sheldon Kemp
Para coach of the year - Roly Crichton
Youth coach of the year (Pic Parkhouse) - Sue Southgate

The Awards also saw Donna Bouzaid and Trevor Nicholls received Life Memberships of the Association and Susan Vogel who presented with a Service Award.
