New Zealand organisations release guide to working in the exercise industry
To support people working in, or looking at working in, New Zealand’s exercise industry, REPs has developed an industry guide to assist new and potential industry professionals understand what it takes to a personal trainer, group instructor or other exercise professional.
The guide aims to provide information about a career in the exercise industry and to help with education and work choices.
A statement introducing the guide explains “with support of organisations including the Exercise Association of New Zealand, Skills Active and REPs a career in the exercise industry is no longer something that people fall into, but rather a sustainable career choice, that does not necessarily require a degree qualification to embark on.”
The guide, which encourages a culture of on job upskilling and career development, is available through the REPs website at www.reps.org.nz
