Countdown to New Zealand’s biggest fitness events of the year
Delegates wanting to attend FitEx and the annual New Zealand Exercise Industry Awards, the country’s biggest fitness events of the year, are being urged to make the most of discounted early-bird registrations - which close this Friday.
Offering over a 100 sessions over three days, FitEx features the latest in science and business for every area and role within the fitness industry, from facility owners, though to personal trainers and group exercise instructors).
Offering the best and biggest opportunity in New Zealand to get truly world class education on a whole range of topics relevant to the fitness and exercise industry, sessions range from traditional lecture style seminars through to hands on practical ‘how to’ sessions.
Held from Friday 23rd to Sunday 25th November at the AUT North Shore campus, Friday events will include a full day Business Summit for Owners/Managers of clubs and a half day Business Summit for Personal Trainers.
There are also other full and part day events with one taking part on the Thursday.
FitEx also includes the presentation of the 2018 New Zealand Exercise Industry Awards on the evening of Saturday 24th November - a prestigious black tie event celebrating the amazing work of the fitness and exercise industry - and the inaugural Hauora Yoga conference. This year the conference will be held from the 23th to the 25th of November.
Introducing the events, Richard Beddie Chief Executive of event organiser the Exercise Association of New Zealand (ExerciseNZ) states “whether you are starting your journey as in the industry or an experienced exercise professional the annual FITEX conference (is) the ‘must do’ event on your calendar.
“This event features the latest in science and business for every facet and role within the fitness industry covering topics from business, group fitness, exercise as medicine, exercise prescription, strength and conditioning, nutrition and special populations.
“With over 100 sessions, 60 presenters from NZ and overseas, three social functions and over 800 attendees it’s a jam-packed weekend of upskilling and connecting.
“There are some great deals on the conference rate for those who are REPs registered or part of ExerciseNZ member facilities, and on site accommodation available at a reduced rate for those travelling from out of town.
In addition to early-bird registration discounts there are also offers for those that are REPs registered, and Owners/Managers of clubs that are members of ExerciseNZ.
