New wrestling format to make Australian debut at Suncorp Stadium

TEG and All Elite Wrestling have announced today that Brisbane’s Suncorp Stadium will host AEW Grand Slam: Australia on Saturday 15th February 2025 - marking the first time AEW has ever held an event in Australia while also being the first professional wrestling event ever held at Suncorp Stadium.

With pro-wrestling fans familiar with big name stars from AEW like Chris Jericho, Swerve Strickland, MJF, Darby Allin, The Young Bucks, Paul Wight and Adam Copeland, the event will give Australian pro-wrestling fans the opportunity to witness first-hand the code’s excitement.

The Suncorp Stadium event will come off the back of the massive success of AEW All In: London at the 80,000 capacity Wembley Stadium.

Advising that AEW Grand Slam: Australia will be one of the hottest tickets of 2025, TEG Group Chief Executive, Geoff Jones stated “TEG is proud to be partnering with the juggernaut that is AEW on this milestone announcement.

“This will mark the first time that the professional wrestling organisation will be making its way to the Southern Hemisphere. This event promises to be an absolute showstopper for all ages and an entertaining spectacle for the masses at Suncorp Stadium.”

AEW Chief Executive, General Manager and Head of Creative, Tony Khan noted “we are proud to bring All Elite Wrestling’s biggest stars to Brisbane for AEW: Grand Slam Australia on February 15, 2025 at Suncorp Stadium.

“Our historic Australia debut will mark another milestone for AEW in 2025 and we look forward to fans from all over Australia converging on Brisbane for an incredible night.”

General Public Tickets for AEW Grand Slam: Australia go on sale from 9am on Friday 13th September 2024.

Fans can also sign up to the TEG Sport pre-sale waitlist.
