New technology to aid swimming lesson retention

Software provider GreeneDesk has launched a new application to help improve the retention of swimming lesson students.

The SwimDesk system is the first software system to specialise and focus on the area of retention and progression for swimming students.

Launched at the YMCA’s recent National Aquatics Conference at the Manningham Convention Centre in front of several hundred attendees, the new application has been developed over a period of two years and optimised to work on tablets such as iPads.

The system allows teachers in charge to conduct and track assessments with students on the pool deck and enables clubs to take communication with parents to a new level with one click email communication and parent portal where parents can stay informative about their child’s swimming progression.

Since the launch, demand for the system has been strong with a significant uptake from centres implementing the technology for term 3 lessons.

GreeneDesk National Sales Manager Lane Harrison explains “we have had huge interest in the system.

“The system solves some key challenges facing Aquatic education programs that no oth¬er technology can.

“By improving children progression and retention we are helping centres improve their bottom line as well as helping children and parents get the most out of their investment in swim¬ming lessons.”

The system is now available for aquatics centres who wish to find ways to improve customer service and retention for swimming lessons.
