New Sydney venue on display at Executive Assistance Network Expo

The versatility of The Concourse, Sydney's newest entertainment and events venue, is being displaying at this week's Executive Assistance Network Expo at Luna Park.

Having opened in September of last year, The Concourse is one of the newest and most versatile venues in Sydney.

The venue has already become a popular space for weddings, exhibitions, conferences, product launches and live performances.

Located in the suburb of Chatswood, The Concourse provides a modern and vibrant setting for events catering for meetings from two to 200 guests with a collection of venues including a breathtaking Concert Hall, intimate Theatre and a multi-functional Civic Pavilion. The Concourse also includes a range of support spaces including the Orchestra Room, Rehearsal Room and the Studio.

The variety and diversity of events already hosted by The Concourse has been impressive according to Willoughby City Council Mayor Patrick Reilly, who developed the precinct.

Mayor Reilly explains that "events (at The Concourse) have included a number of incredibly successful activities such as a bridal expo, Chinese medical conference and weddings as well as some unique and memorable events including new car launches utilising the stage of the theatre and even a corporate lunch hosted on one of the stages."

The Concourse also offers a range of dining experiences featuring delicious flavours from around the world, inspired meals with a modern twist and divine desert choices. Restaurants include: Carre Noir, Good Thai, Shanghai Stories, Terrazza along with Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

A short distance from the Sydney CBD and 30 minutes from the airport, The Concourse offers on site parking, easy access to public transport, a choice of multi-functional facilities, dining and accommodation, providing event organisers with scale and flexibility for their event, and all under one roof.

The Concourse was developed by Willoughby City Council and comprises:

Concert Hall - a spectacular venue inspired by traditional European concert halls with two levels of seating to accommodate 1,000 guests, also providing a sense of grandeur for corporate presentations. This venue hosts musical events and is equally effective as a conference space.

Theatre - boasts a state-of-the-art adaptable proscenium arch which provides flexible performing and entertainment space with seating for 500. A popular conference venue for presentations as well as offering a unique dining experience on the stage.

Civic Pavilion - a multi-functional pillarless flat floor space of 506 metre2 with a dividing wall and catering kitchen. Ideal for exhibitions, conferences and banquets. Beautifully clad in pale timber, with smart lighting in the ceiling, carpeted floor and natural light, the Civic Pavilion is the venue of choice for a multitude of events.

Studio - enjoys a semi-sprung floor making it ideal for dance and musical performances, allowing a unique and memorable flavour to any event.

Supporting venues - include the Rehearsal Room, Green Room, Chorus Room and The Lounge, all adaptable and enjoying state of the art features.

Large landscaped public spaces - including the East Terrace and Promenade offering opportunities for cocktails, outdoor dining and catered events. With an impressive reflection pool where visitors can relax and soak up the atmosphere, this amphitheatre and park allow for music and performances in the open-air. The large urban screen will add a dramatic dimension to the area and provide further activation of outdoor areas.

Chatswood Library - offering 5000 metre2 of floor space with dedicated space for children. The new library caters to the growing demands of the community and is visited by more than 60,000 people per week.

The Executive Assistance Network Expo is being held at Sydney's Luna Park on 22nd and 23rd March.
