New Owners for Lollipop's Playlands franchise
Alan Grant, founder of the Lollipop's franchise business of indoor play facilities and childcare centres, has sold the company.
The sale to Australian master franchisee Tim Newman-Morris and a new partner, Bret Stemski, a former McDonalds franchisee, consisted of the three master franchises and 23 sites in Australia, New Zealand and Indonesia. It was concluded at the beginning of March.
Grant, who will retain a 50% share in Explore & Develop, a chain of 16 franchised childcare centres in Sydney and the NSW Central Coast, explains "after 17 years of building and running the business, and it needed fresh legs, more energy and fresh ideas, which the new owners are already injecting."
