New MPower MSL Chief Executive appointed to lead growth strategy
Leading hospitality, sport and venue solutions provider MPower MSL has announced the appointment of Pat Howard as its Chief Executive.
Announcing the appointment, retiring Chairman John Down stated “Pat is the right person to lead MSL to the next stage of growth.
“He is a strong, dynamic and values-driven leader with an impressive track record of delivering consistent high-quality performance. Pat will focus on delivering exceptional customer service experiences to deliver long-term growth and value creation for both our customers and shareholders.”
A former Wallabies playmaker with 20 Test caps, Howard possesses over 20 year’s executive experience across property, retail and the sport industry and was the co-founder of Rx Management, which manages 17 pharmacies.
He led Rugby Australia’s High Performance Unit before joining Cricket Australia in 2011 where, as Executive General Manager of Team Performance, he was responsible for the Test team’s high-performance unit. However, he was one of a group of Cricket Australia executives who left the sport late last year following a critical review into its internal culture and the ball-tampering affair.
He was previously the Chief Operations Officer at Cromwell Property Group.
Looking forward to his new role, Howard (pictured) advised “I’m excited to join the MSL team.
“MSL has a global customer base, dedication to technology innovation, talented people and growing recurring revenue. We will focus on business performance, add capabilities for our customers and sharpen our strategic direction - to help our customers deliver a great experience to their customers.
“Today’s pace of change is exponential. Every venue is becoming digital, navigating disruptive markets, and MSL’s role in this digital transformation has never been more important. The only way to achieve success is to have the customer at the absolute centre of everything we do.
"The customer has a better experience and as a consequence the venue thrives. MSL can continue to drive product excellence and deliver innovative solutions to the venues market. Venues can be any entertainment precinct. It can be a golf club, stadium, restaurant, pub, club or gaming venue. We are transforming how these venues engage with their customers and that is exciting.”
Craig Kinross will remain actively involved in the company as Director of Strategy, initially based out of the UK targeting key strategic growth opportunities and will continue to assist the company with long-term strategy and customer advocacy.
Kinross served as MSL’s Chief Executive for seven years and helped grow the company to operate with more than 2400 customers globally.
