New Marketing and Communications Manager for YMCA Sydney
The YMCA of Sydney has appointed James Ellender as its new Marketing and Communications Manager.
Ellender, the former establishment and Precinct Manager for the National Centre of Indigenous Excellence in Redfern, has been with the 'Y' for six years, coordinating projects and managing centres in NSW and Victoria. Originally studying to become a PE teacher, Ellender's interests shifted to helping people pursue healthy lifestyles through health and fitness.
As he explains "what I like about working for the Y is the alignment in what I believe communities need and the role the Y plays in them.
"I think the favourite part of my job will be sharing and telling the Y difference with current and new communities.
