New Manager to shake up F&B offerings at Adventure World

Reinvented burgers, ‘dude food’, healthy living choices, new beers and wines, and revised cook-to-order ‘Dragon Bites’ are on the menu at Perth theme park Adventure World under the watchful eye of new Food and Beverage Manager Laura Kersten.

Kersten joins the team at the Perth theme park after gaining senior operations management experience with businesses such as Jus Burgers, Pinchos Y Tapas, Snags & Sons and Sumo Salad.

Now planning a host of delicious updates and additions to the AdventureWorld food and drinks menu, Laura said she was looking forward to bringing some fresh ideas to the table.

Commenting on her new appointment, Kersten states “this is a great opportunity to make some changes on the food front at Adventure World, introducing some new menu items and giving some old favourites a new twist.”

Adventure World Chief Executive Mark Shaw believes that Kersten’s appointment has proved the perfect opportunity to carry out a full review of the theme park’s food outlets to ensure visitors got plenty of choice and quality.

Shaw states “an awesome day out at Adventure World means we need to pay as much attention to the food experience as we do our rides, slides and shows.

“We want the enjoyment of the food to be a part of the whole magical experience (and) our team has certainly enjoyed taste-testing new menu items over the past few weeks and I’m certain our visitors will appreciate the improvements and tasty new menu additions, too.

“We are delighted to welcome Laura aboard, knowing that she brings a fresh energy and a wealth of experience to her role.”

Adventure World’s action-packed 2014/15 season starts on Thursday 25th September, with a giant spider and a rampaging minotaur added to the attractions, which already include Abyss, the $12million white-knuckle ride that opened in October last year and quickly earned the title of Australia’s best rollercoaster.
