New Fitness Franchise Opportunity
Exercise Australia has launched a unique franchise business opportunity for those who want to help others take control of their future health and wellbeing.
The leading equipment retailer has developed a dedicated retail platform, providing an extensive range of at-home personal gym equipment, professional technologies, training and, most importantly, ongoing support for Australian consumers.
Director Tim Woodman says the market is growing so rapidly, that the company is planning to open 75 new showrooms across Australia in the next 10 years. As he explains, âour franchiseesâ will have the benefit of Exercise Australiaâs reputation, as well as marketing and business expertise to help them along the way. We have been operating for 32 years and import a large percentage of the range of fitness equipment we sell so we know we can offer our franchisees a great deal in setting up their own business.
âOur franchise system is unique in the way it connects post sale with our customers and our strategic strength in the market is high levels of customer advocacy and, as a consequence, high levels of repeat and referral business?
âOur success isnât measured by how many treadmills we sell, itâs measured by the proportion of our customers continuing to use our equipment post sale,? states Woodman, adding âour systems, our equipment ranging, our culture and our people are all aligned with this as our ultimate measure of success.
âThe evolution from fitness to wellness in the minds of the consumer marks an important development for Exercise Australiaâs business, to provide people who are team players and great social networkers, a sound franchise formula. The introduction of The Code of Conduct in 1998, underpinned by the Trade Practices Act and administered by the ACCC, has upped the ante for both sides of the franchising coin, providing a resilient and adaptable business formula with proven economic opportunity? says Woodman.
According to Woodman, the estimated financial investment is approximately $300,000 to set up the franchise, depending on store size and amount of equipment. The turnkey investment would include store fit out, stock, franchise fee for extensive training and all the launch costs to get the new showroom started.
Additional help for franchisees is also available as a result of peak industry body Fitness Australia recently securing project funding from the Australian Government to help support small business in the fitness industry.
As Fitness Australia Chief Executive Lauretta Stace says âthis program offers a unique opportunity for small business owners, managers and self-employed contractors to gain access to important and relevant advice and information, gain skills that will help them to grow their business and network with their peers.?
