New executive appointments at Melbourne & Olympic Parks
Melbourne & Olympic Parks Chief Executive Brian Morris has announced the promotion of Sam Buckley to the newly-created position of Director of Venue Services, and Steve Harper to the new role of Director of Arenas.
As Director of Arenas, Harper will be responsible for managing all the business and operational delivery aspects of Melbourne & Olympic Parks three arenas; Rod Laver Arena, Margaret Court Arena and Hisense Arena along with related spaces.
As Director of Venue Services, Buckley will be responsible for managing all the centralised services related to the delivery of events in precinct venues. This will include the training and development of venue staff, management of our centralised event and venue resources and the provision of centralised venue services such as ticketing.
Announcing the appointments, Morris stated “congratulations to Sam and Steve who are highly-regarded and respected members of the venue management profession.
“Both Sam and Steve bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to the roles and to the Executive team and I very much look forward to working with them as we embrace the exciting opportunities ahead.”
