New business guide helps hospitality sector with hosting low cost music for first time

Developed by sister organisation of OneMusic, the Live Music Office have just released a new guide – Small Business Guide to Live Music Presentation - to help retailers and the hospitality sector including cafes, restaurants and small bars to host low cost, low tech live music for the first time.

The free guide contains expert tips on establishing a small and accessible performance space in your business, outlines ways to connect local music industry communities and includes resources on how to find great musicians to suit your space.

Western Australian restaurant owner, Melissa Finlay of Finlay’s Kalbarri, highlighted the difference that live music has made to their foot traffic.

Finlay noted “our venue previously only opened for dinners, but with the introduction of Live music on a Sunday, we brought back the iconic Sunday Session. This has resulted in Sunday’s being the biggest day of the week for us.”

Catherine Guiliano, OneMusic director spoke to the growing number of live music events following the pandemic, saying “our reports show at the moment we have a healthy 500 monthly online enquiries for small-medium events which indicates that, by summer, incoming enquiry will smash pre-COVID levels.”
