New branding revealed by Blue Mountains Tourism
The Three Sisters will share the limelight with lesser-known regional landmarks and experiences with Blue Mountains Tourism’s introduction of new branding and its latest marketing campaign.
Displayed on the revamped website and as part of a new Been There Done That advertising campaign, the new branding has been delivered in partnership with Blue Mountains Council, and is a major part of the Australian and NSW Government’s Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Fund.
The playful Been There Done That campaign targets domestic and international visitors who may be aware of and even visited the Blue Mountains but unaware how much the region has to offer.
Imagery and videos will show experiences for every season and reason, including canyoning, apple picking, horseback riding, ice skating, dining, art galleries, health, relaxation and more.
Blue Mountains Tourism President, Jason Cronshaw commented "the Blue Mountains has been a fantastic magnet for visitors from around the world for more than a century, but that doesn’t mean we should stay the same.
"Our new branding is fresh and vibrant and reflective of the 21st century world we are blessed to live in."
Closure of One&Only Wolgan Valley resort to impact the region
Blue Mountains Tourism has warned the closure of One&Only Wolgan Valley resort will have a negative impact for the whole region.
Last week the resort announced it would have to close until further notice due to accessibility issues.
Advising that the poor condition of the access road into the valley meant they could not operate with certainty over winter, One&Only Wolgan Valley General Manager, Tim Stanhope stated “we are never prepared to compromise on our guests’ experiences, therefore, due to these circumstances, the resort will unfortunately need to temporarily close its doors for the foreseeable future, effective 9th June 2023 until these issues can be fully resolved.”
Blue Mountains Tourism Vice President Anthea Hammon said the closure was disappointing for both guests and the resort’s team, telling the Blue Mountains Gazette “the resort is a renowned luxury property that shines the global spotlight on the Blue Mountains.
“The closure will have negative impacts beyond just the resort to the wider tourism industry in Lithgow and the Mountains.
“We hope that the road can reopen as soon as possible so that this key accommodation site can start welcoming visitors from around the world once again.”
