New attractions launched at UAE’s Jais Adventure Peak

Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority (RAKTDA) has launched the Jais Adventure Peak, a group of adventure attractions on the UAE’s highest mountain, Jebel Jais.

The Jais Sky Maze is the latest addition to the Peak’s attractions which include the Jebel Jais Flight, Jais Sky Tour and Jebel Jais Viewing Deck Park, as well as the Jais Adventure Centre.

Equipped by adventure park and high ropes course provider KristallTurm, the Jais Sky Maze is the latest addition to the Peak’s attractions, offering a self-guided rope course experience spanning two levels.

The first level is at a lower height and suitable for children who are six years and above. The second level will give adventure-loving teens and adults a chance to navigate obstacles such as rope swings, wobbly bridges, swimming loops and more while suspended 10 metres above the ground. A team is on-hand to guide visitors throughout the experience and to ensure the highest safety.

Jais Sky Tours offers adventure seekers the opportunity to fly over the awe-inspiring cliffs and canyons of Jebel Jais, as they zip from platform to platform averaging speeds of 60 kph, covering a total distance of 5 kilometres via a series of seven ziplines, ranging from 337 metres to just over 1 kilometre. The Jais Sky Tour affords a panoramic, bird’s eye view of the towering Hajar mountains.

Jebel Jais Flight is the world’s longest zip line and sees thrill-seekers travelling at speeds of up to 120kph to 150kph at a height of 1,680 metres above sea level on top of Jebel Jais mountain. The experience will see participants fitted with a special harness for the adventure, with the longest flight itself taking approximately two to three minutes. Once completed, guests will finish the flight on a suspended landing platform where they will be transferred to a second line to complete their journey back to the ground.

Raki Phillips, Chief Executive of RAKTDA notes “the eagerly anticipated launch of the Jais Adventure Peak will not only add to the Emirate’s diverse hospitality offering but will also elevate the undeniable appeal of Jebel Jais itself.”

Phillips added that the attraction “captures Ras Al Khaimah’s adventurous spirit through a series of adrenaline-pumping experiences that will leave a lasting impression on our guests and unforgettable memories.

“These include everything from the views they will take in as they make their way up to the Adventure Peak to the welcoming staff on-hand with information, the various activities, and most importantly the sustainable yet unique adventure attractions themselves”.
