New appointment at Smart Connection Training

Smart Connection Training has appointed David Spaulding to the position of Sales and Marketing Manager.

Spaulding has a wealth of experience in the sales and marketing arena, gained in companies such as Mayne Pharma, Orphan Pharmaceuticals and GlaxoSmithKline. His most recent position was Chief Executive at Hydration Pharmaceuticals and in his five year tenure was responsible for a four- fold increase in revenue, the creation of a new sales and marketing team and the launch of its product range into new markets such as sports, travel and OH&S.

Spaulding has spent many years training health professionals and their staff in the use of various medicines and medical programs. He sees a strong link between the pharmaceutical and sports and leisure industries, after all, they are both aimed at improving people's health and wellbeing.

Spaulding has a keen interest in sport. Until recently, he was President of a local swimming club over a two year period and is still actively involved as a committee member. He enjoys playing sports such as cricket, golf, running and swimming and has just returned from trekking the Kokoda Trail.

He says is looking forward to a new challenge in a different industry.
