MSAC Institute of Training announces 2012/13 schedule

The MSAC Institute of Training has launched its 2012 schedule of sport facility management forums and programs, with events this year to be staged beyond Melbourne on the Gold Coast and in Singapore.
Now in its sixth year, each MSAC Institute of Training event aims to give delegates and industry colleagues the opportunity to learn first hand from leading Australian and international experts in their fields on how to successfully develop and manage the process of establishing international sporting facilities and major events.
The 2012/13 series will also provide opportunities for delegates to network with leading industry professionals and will culminate in the sixth International Sports Facility Management
Program (ISFMP) in March next year.
Victorian State Sport Centres Trust Chief Executive Simon Weatherill explains "this year we continue to broaden our content to more than just sports facilities and infrastructure to provide the latest information on aligning organisational culture to drive strategy and innovation in digital services and marketing.
"Delegates will benefit from our continued development of learning materials that case study and workshop over 15 years of real experiences from the Melbourne Sports Hub in the areas of establishment, management, operations, sustainability and stakeholder management.
"The MSAC Institute of Training is uniquely placed to provide the Sport Facility Management series each year, being a nationally accredited training organisation located on the iconic Melbourne Sports Hub.
"This world renowned sporting hub has staged international sporting events such as the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games, the 2007 FINA World Swimming Championships, 2009 Champions Hockey Trophy and the 2011 Zatopek:10. In addition to these major international events, the Melbourne Sports Hub is also home to community recreation, sports and programs for over two million people who visit our facilities each year."
