More key appointments at Perth Arena
Venue manager AEG Ogden has announced six more key staff appointments for the Perth Arena, due to open later this year.
Announcing the appointments, the Arena General Manager, David Humphreys said all came with many years of practical experience in the venue industry and would provide valuable support to the management team already in place.
The appointments are:
Alan Woo - Event Operations Manager
Alan has relocated from New Zealand after five years as the Operations and Event Services Manager at Vector Arena. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at Melbourne Olympic Park holding the position of Venue Operations Supervisor. He commenced work at Perth Arena yesterday (26th March).
Michael Scott - Food and Beverage Manager
Michael joins the Arena team from Mustard Catering where he held the position of General Manager responsible for the catering operations at both NIB Stadium and Paterson Stadium. Michael will join the team on 2nd April.
Leonard Lemon - Asset Manager
Leonard will be returning to Perth from the Gold Coast where he has been Facilities Manager at Metricon Stadium. Prior to that, he spent four years at the WACA holding the position of Venue Operations Manager. Leonard will join the team on 7th May.
Helen Novatscou - Ticketing Manager
Helen joins the team from VenuesWest where she held the position of Ticketing Services Coordinator for nearly five years. She was responsible for the ticketing requirements of the VeneusWest facilities. Prior to that, Helen was the Event Services Coordinator for Ticketmaster for two years. She commenced work yesterday (26th March).
Linda Tonkin - Accountant
Linda Tonkin commenced her role last month and brings more than 20 years of experience in the finance sector. Linda will support Glenn Hall, Business Manager of Perth Arena.
Dave Humphreys - Sales Executive
Dave has an impressive sales background with strong relationships within the corporate, functions and sponsorship sectors.
He previously worked for VenuesWest and worked on a number of sponsorship accounts. He will commence work at Perth Arena on Monday 2nd April.
Expected to open in November 2012, the 15,500 capacity, state-of-the-art Perth Arena has been designed to maximise flexibility, and features a permanent tennis court surface, retractable roof and 36 corporate suites.
Owned by WA Government agency VenuesWest, the Perth Arena is managed by AEG Ogden.
