Merlin Entertainments offers ‘Dine and Discover Day Off’ for permanent staff
Merlin Entertainments is supporting the NSW Government's Dine and Discover voucher scheme by starting a ‘Dine and Discover Day Off’ iniative for their permanent employees. and encouraging other companies to join Merlin in also offering their staff a “Dine and Discovery Day Off”.
Merlin's ‘Dine and Discover Day Off’ offers permanent employees the chance to take the day off on Friday 21st May to use their vouchers in support of the NSW Tourism and Hospitality industry hit hard by the global COVID pandemic.
The Merlin team will be asked to share their ‘Dine and Discover Day Off’ moments using the hashtag #MerlinD&D in hopes of inspiring other companies to get behind the movement and help their employees give back.
Rob Smith, Divisional Director, Asia Pacific Midway Division notes “the team here at Merlin Entertainments has worked incredibly hard over the last 12 months in the face of the challenges brought on by COVID-19. By offering staff a ‘Dine and Discover Day Off’, we want to not only acknowledge our team’s dedication, but also do something to support our friends in the NSW tourism and hospitality industry.
“We are asking our team to use the day to give back through activities like seeing a movie, taking a friend to lunch, visiting the zoo at a discounted rate or through other experiences supported by the NSW Government’s Dine and Discover vouchers. We look forward to seeing other companies also get involved with the “Dine and Discover Day Off” initiative as we band together to encourage people back into the CBD to help support the businesses that people know and love. Our Harbour city is one of the most beautiful cities in the world and I challenge everyone to explore all that it has to offer.
“Merlin aims to create memorable experiences for our guests, so we are excited to see our team get out there with their Dine & Discover vouchers and enjoy being a guest for the day with the vouchers providing them with $100 to explore and play in our beautiful city.”
