Melbourne Sports Hub to host leading streetball event
The Victorian State Netball Hockey Centre, part of the Melbourne Sports Hub, is to host BallUp’s inaugural event in Australia and New Zealand.
The world’s leading and most exciting StreetBall brand, BallUp is being presented on Friday 6th March 2015 by Oceans Media Group (OMG) and PlanetRoc.
BallUp is explained as “a lifestyle”, capturing “The true essence of the rawest form of basketball.”
It combines this with entertainment featuring national and international acts, backed by an MC and DJ.
Founded in 2009, Ball Up is the leading streetball tour in the world, featuring the BallUp All-Stars which include many of the most celebrated and talented streetball players from the United States. Through its debut of the 2011 BallUp Season on Fox Sports Net nationwide and tours that span the globe, BallUp provides the ultimate streetball experience for both fans courtside and viewers at home.
In a coup for Australian fans, the very best of the best BallUp players will be at the Melbourne event including The Professor, AO, Air Up There, Bone Collector, Pat the Roc, Special FX, Springs, Sik Wit It, Violator and G. Smith.
Local fans will be encouraged to participate in the entertainment and will be able to win prizes such as exclusive merchandise, autographed basketballs and more.
