Melbourne-based Redcat’s IT platform implemented at the Australian Open

The implementation of Melbourne-based Redcat’s IT platform at the 2020 Australian Open sees event host Tennis Australia having the advantage of increased operational control and profitability.

Redcat’s hospitality IT innovation at the 2020 Australian Open, will generate for the first time, sales data from multiple quick service outlets into a centralised reporting system.

Redcat’s integrated management platform will incorporate the Australian Open's Founders Club and 23 food and beverage pop-up venues inside Melbourne Park concourse and across its live sites at Birrarung Marr, the walkway to Richmond Station and Federation Square.

Explaining that the technology will aid host Tennis Australia in managing multiple venues, Redcat Chief Executive, Jeff Lamb explains "with thousands of transactions daily, it’s critical for the Australian Open to have the real-time control that our platform offers. Redcat’s strength is in managing multiple sites from a centralised platform, including reporting live sales data and changing menu items or pricing on the fly."

The platform gives Tennis Australia’s operational managers live dashboards, with a snapshot of overall sales performance, and the ability to ‘drill down’ into specific outlets.

Lamb adds "the other big plus of the Redcat platform is that it is designed to keep outlets running at all times.

"It can operate online or offline, meaning that even if there was an internet outage, sales continue unaffected. We provide thorough training and 24-hour support to ensure that Tennis Australia gets the very best from our platform."

Melbourne-based Redcat's specialist hospitality technology platform is used by many large-scale, multi-site franchise outlets including Boost Juice, Nando’s, Grill’d, Schnitz and Chatime.

The Australian Open runs until 2nd February 2020.
