MEETINGS set to showcase new Christchurch event opportunities

Christchurch and Canterbury will be out in force at New Zealand’s Meetings convention on 18th and 19th June, with an all-new display stand and five new exhibitors joining the team.

Christchurch and Canterbury Conventions Bureau Manager, Caroline Blanchfield says the region’s big presence at Meeting reflects the dynamic change happening in the city and the growing interest in Canterbury as a destination.

Blanchfield  explains “we have several new venues, more exciting developments in the pipeline and many magical South Island experiences to share with guests at Meetings this year.”

Christchurch and Canterbury Convention Bureau will be joined by Vbase, Continental, Hotel Ashburton and Heritage Hanmer Springs, along with new exhibitors, Rydges Latimer Hotel, Moveable Feasts, Mashina Functions and Entertainment venue, Sensational Selwyn, and Hurunui Tourism.

Blanchfield  adds “our contemporary new stand design mirrors a fresh, forward-facing new look for the modern future city, and reflects the vibrancy and change the region is experiencing.”

In recent months the New York Times, Architectural Digest, Lonely Planet and Trip Advisor have all hailed the city for its creativity and innovation, and recommended people visit.

Meeting is a highly regarded annual event (now in its 18th year) that invites conference and event organisers to experience the very best of what New Zealand has on offer in the conference and incentive tourism industry.

The 2014 event is being held at Auckland’s ASB Showgrounds on 18th and 19th June.
